Peter, I could not continue without PEACE on my machine, so I fiddled around some more. I discovered that Windows 11 takes an inordinate amount of time to re-build the audio processor chain - sometimes 20 seconds. So I believe what was happening was I'd set things up, start my browser, start playing music, and then the newly created chain went into effect, removing/changing my setup. Thanks for your response. This Windows/Audio/Apo/etc./etc. environment is too complicated for me. I even started looking at Powershell to modify the audio setting in the registry, progressed to "setACL.exe" from Helge-Klein, but kept hitting a brick wall. I would really like to stay with PEACE - it's just magnificent (thank you), but I'm exhausted with testing/changing/... I've switched to a Firefox extension for this particular application. I will, however, continue with PEACE for just listening...

I'm trying to perfect the following environment: Windows Firefox Browser playing music with: Aptkdoe 219 Earbuds, and AutoHotKeys intercepting MEDIA NEXT and PREV for control. However, when PEACE automatically enables my profile for the earbuds, it always turns "Advanced Sound Properties" on with "Audio enhancements" set to "Device default effects".
