I want to share a problem I am having. I am running NAPS2 version 8.2.1.0 on Win10 64bit. I use Kodak Scanmate i1180 via USB and TWAIN. I scan 5 pages of documents (10 sides) at a time, using a combination of greyscales and B/W at 300dpi. All pages appear clearly on the NAPS2 window. I then save to PDF with OCR enabled. I use Foxit Reader to view the files. Every now and then, Foxit will not read some of the PDFs thus created. Opening them in PDF24 Creator will show 3 visible pages, and 7 blank pages....

I note the above conversation regarding file names, and your suggestion about using a pattern of "Track <track>" (without the quotes) to get the desired result. In future versions, I wonder if it would be possible to use this placeholder pattern also it the the "Title:" field for a track, so that track no is embedded in the Title also. Sorry Ben, The above is not a bug. I have just realised. Although the Save As dialogue box still shows the place holder codes ie $(YYYY)-$(MM)-$(DD) , when the pdf is actually saved, the code translates to a proper date.... (see attached image) Thanks Ben, Parimal Manek

Thanks Ben, I think I might have discovered a bug. I am using the graphical interface. I tried your suggestion above. In the PDF Settings dialogue box, I clicked on the Placeholders Link, and used the buttons to insert the relevant place holders, and the Preview appears to have the desired effect. However when it comes to saving a real PDF, the $(YYYY) does not translate to the year. It remains as $(YYYY) in the file name. See two attached screen shots to illustrate my problems. This is on my wish list. I wonder if there has been any progress with this idea? I actually like the way the forum entries are timestampted "2013-07-24".
