"About Keepass" displays the wrong version number

I downloaded the setup installer version of 2.48. It will not execute to run the setup. When I click on it, my cursor spins for a few seconds, then the cursor goes back to normal, but the program does not run. I check with taskmanager and it is not running. Soooo, I tried the portable zip version of the program. I unzipped it in the same directory as my previous version. It executes when I start my computer (I have it in my startup directory).
