Hello again, thanks for your swift reply. Downloading and configuring the correct package did the trick. ( The DocFetcherPortable I downloaded from the dev pages ;-) ) I now have a "server" installation that updates the indexes twice a day and all the "clients" use these indexes from a shared folder. The "clients" don't have any write access to the application or the index folders. This application was just what we where looking for, THANKS :-)
Hi, I've managed to get DocFetcherPortable to run in a multiuser environment with the indexes located on a mapped network drive. I do have some challenges to use the command line argument --update-indexes. I do have the portable DocFetcher on the C: drive From a command window, I cd to the folder where docfetcherportable is located then I try to run this command: DocFetcherPortable --update-indexes The result is that the command prompt returns and then docfetcherportable opens but the indexes is...
