Old thread but this worked. THX I tried chkdsk but clonezilla still refuded to work. so sudo ntfsfix -d /dev/sda1 sudo ntfsfix -d /dev/sda2 sudo ntfsfix -d /dev/sda3 for every partition and FINALLY it works
I have exact the same problem on an HP ProBook 650 G1. The screen is totally garbled. I cannot make out a single option The option KMS saved the day. thanks :-)
With a brand new Lenovo V130 the error persists: "Error! No existing disk(s) or no unmounted disk(s) are found! To use Clonezilla to save or clone to a disk, the source disk must exist or be unmounted! If you are sure the disk exists in this machine, maybe the kernel is too old?" I want to backup the internal SSD to an external disk. Setting the BIOS Turned off secure boot set uefi to bios not working. far worse. settings cannot be taken back. laptop is now bricked.
