Is there a way to increase the font size when displaying an image that also shows the magnitude in the Photometry tab? I'm running version 2024.07.04 64 bit on a WIN 10 PC.. Thanks Nor

Hi Han, First off thanks for putting the RGB extraction on the Photometry Tab. Big help! I do have a suggestion ( if not already implemented😁 ) and that is for a batch sequence processor. Let me explain. When I do a photometry run I always go thru the same process: load the images calibrate Stack (rejecting worst image) copy the results to the Photometry tab isolate a color channel. do an initial step thru the set to get the check stars information 6 select the variable, check and #3 star and generate...

Han, I've been using your program to process Variable star data and uploading it to AAVSO for a few weeks now. ASTAP is fantastic and I haven't even used all the other features. In a discussion with one of the AAVSO members, the suggestion was made to transform the TG/TB data to V and B filter values and report them as such. I know you program isolates the Green channel from the raw Fits image. I was wondering if you had a module that would also extract the Blue channel? AAVSO has a tool that accepts...

I've recently been introduced to ASTAP and have come to really enjoy working with it. It's a great piece of software! I do have a suggestion. Is it possible to implement a bullseye overlay with cross hairs that mark the center of the picture? When I capture the image with CCDciel I have the target star in the center of the frame as indicated by the cross hairs in that program. However, in ASTAP, when viewing a crowded star field it is sometimes difficult to find the star that I want to measure. I...

OK Han. That explains it. Thanks Nor On 7/10/2021 10:18 AM, han.k wrote: I think one posting is now missing, but NSJG, the numbers could indicate either the magnitude or "half flux diameter". In the latest versions if menu "measured stars magnitude" is used, the stars are marked with two small red horizontal lines (was red square box). The magnitudes are written without dot. Rather then writing magnitude 12.1 it is convenient to write 121. The dot is missing but can't be confused anymore with a star....

I guess it still isn't clear what those numbers represent. The apparent magnitude ranges from -26.7 to 31.5 and the absolute values run between -10 and +17. So I don't know what the 121 annotation represents. Is that an index number in the DB for stars measuring in a certain Mag range?
