You do NOT need the run as admin However, you must reboot your computer(or restart explorer.exe) for the changes to take effect. Truth be told, only this command needs to be executed from cmd window or run box(WIN+R) reg add HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID\{86ca1aa0-34aa-4e8b-a509-50c905bae2a2}\InprocServer32 /ve /d "" /f
This is a disaster created by Microsoft. I do NOT and will NOT understand why M$ did this. I heard it was "to prevent third-party applications from cluttering the menu with more options". 3rd-party apps? I don't use 3rd-party apps. I just use apps. M$ perspective is warped. Windows is NOT for Microsoft, it's for the users of the world! I decide what gets installed on my system. Ah, I see. Very clever. Played with but never really used profiles before. I tell myself everytime that if I'm gonna compress something, it's always gonna be done with max compression. The only option I want to see from 7zip is the ability to add files/folders to separate archives(a feature WinRAR has). That way I can get rid of my silly batch files.
