    When you copy a credential, say a username or a password on Windows, it does not show up on windows' own clipboard and it clears itself after a set amount of time (if you have set it so). My question is, where does this data go. Does it remain in a protected segment of the memory and does Keepass clears it and overwrites it, or is it something else? Thanks :)

    I agree. The approach to any application, especially one as sensitive as the one that holds your credentials, should always be zero trust. Trust no one, not the machine the software is running on, nor the user. Always verify.

    Create a new Database. Then open that database. Then, File>Database Settings>(change name here).

    i know those solutions as Veracrypt or Axcrypt but we are talking about different things: encrypt entire disk VS save and encrypt some files. Veracrypt can also encrypt only some files. Simply make a container of your desired size, and then place all your files in that. You container can be of any size, a 100MiB or a 100GiB or even a 100 TiB. Using Keepass for file storage is not desirable because unlike Veracrypt (unless you are using PIM), Keepass adds iterative functions to its encryption. Having...
