    Another "me too". I had scrollbars on always show (to work around a bug in a different application) and was seeing the page jump upward by several pixels after a touchpad scroll in any direction, when sufficiently zoomed in (reproduced with https://tfl.gov.uk/cdn/static/cms/documents/standard-tube-map.pdf). Setting it to automatic for Skim only, using the defaults command above, fixes it.

By the way, I also tried the original test case (set term wxt size 1200,800; plot "inputfile" using 1:2) under 5.2.4 with wx-single-threaded. 24000 iterations and no segfaults. However, I did get a couple instances of the following error: The program 'gnuplot' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program.     I've been seeing similar random crashes with gnuplot 5.2.4 (as well as earlier versions) on Ubuntu 18.04. I can reproduce with gnuplot -e 'set term wxt; plot sin(x)'. I'm using Xvfb to test because my headless machine is faster. I get crashes on about 2-3% of runs. I have lots of core files that suggest memory or heap corruption (pointers with impossible values, etc). I can reproduce on several different machines, so it's not hardware. For me, --with-wx-single-threaded fixes it, and in that configuration...
