On ubuntu24 there is a 'sudoers directory', which allows the system user (Admin) password prompt to be bypassed for designated programs, example: username (ALL=(ALL:ALL) NOPASSWD:/usr/bin/veracrypt). Currently when I mount favorites from the veracrypt menu I'm prompted for; 1 Admin password 2 password for container / device 3 Admin password (again) I question if the veracrypt request for the admin password is necessary. (In this case the user has admin rights and the sudoers entry should allow run...
If one trys to disable the background task Veracrypt issues this warning; *"WARNING: If the VeraCrypt Background Task is disabled, the following functions will be disabled: 1) Hot keys 2) Auto-unmount (e.g., upon logoff, inadvertent host device removal, time-out, etc.) 3) Auto-mount of favorite volumes 4) Notifications (e.g., when damage to hidden volume is prevented) 5) Tray icon** I request the display of the "tray icon" be separated so that it can be turned on or off.

Veracrypt 1.26.24 installs an app indicator on ubuntu24's top bar. Can this be made optional? (My bar is too crowded).
