Thank you Thomas. However I didn't see the example using endentity certificate authentication in RA mode. I have made a poc where I use a different CA for authentication and as CA in the endentity profile. The ejbca fails because the authenticating CA is not allowed to create end-entities. I would have expected it's the CA referred to in the endentity profile that creates the endentity. So this is why I am asking for a working example.. Im trying to use CMP in RA-mode using a endentitycertificate but get an error in validating certificate path of the extraCert field of the PKI message. Im looking for help/examples of configuring CA and CMP for RA-mode using CMP Authentication Module : EndEntityCertificate.
