I have a RedoRescue USB that I made this month (Nov, 2020). It boots fine on my Ubuntu 18.04 desktop system. It will not boot on Ubtuntu 18.04 chromebooks. One is an Acer C720 (SeaBios) and the other is an Acer 15.6 (Mr Chromebox Coreboot Bios). What are some common factors that cause boot problems? Ubuntu Live USB's boot fine on these systems. Is there a way to use RedoRescue with a Ubuntu Live USB?
G4L-v0.56.iso written by balenaEtcher-1.5.57-x64.AppImage on Ubuntu 18.04 Desktop computer Thanks for your fast response. I'll try your suggested alternate. I've been trying to standardize my backups for a while now. If we can work out this one glitch I'll be glad to contribute to G4L.
I activated SeaBios and installed Ubuntu 18.04 on an Acer C720-3305 i3 chromebook. The Ubuntu Live USB boots fine but the G4L usb flash drive will not boot. It does boot on my Ubuntu desktop computer. Are there any tweaks or other ways to start G4L?
