I couldn't get this work correctly on the verion i finally got installed with the .deb pacakge. It's the latest version of Debian 11.1, and i think rcp was still relying on upstart, which i don't think they have in 11.1. I'm not actuallt sure, i just noticed that it was not running automatically on powerup or reboot. So l looked around a little bit, along with the other problem of those silly new fangled interface names, which i completely don't understand in a VM, and I know ho w to set those back,...

Well, if you want to cheat and not have to develop you're own installer, VyOS, install image command. And i think VyOS is open source

Can we get a copy tftp command , to be able to store the running / startup configuration to a tftp server, as a simple backup to the configuration ? Thanks for any consideration

Since this looks and feels so much like Cisco IOS, anyway we can get an alias command to define our own shortucts to the actual cli commands ?

Got an installer, on the livecd, or at least step by step, to insall to a hard drive ?
