I have only one partition on that drive. I copied my most important directories on it to another external drive, did a quick format and copied them back to it. I'll try to do a backup with Clonezilla again and I'll come back with my findings. EDIT: After the Quick Format (in Windows) I did a backup to that external drive. All suitable directories were visible. It's worth noting that after the copy and re-copy of the data three of my previous directories were not needed on the drive in question and...

Thank you for the reply. I have nine top-level directories on that external drive, but I only see three of them. Three of the other six directories have spaces in them so they are ruled out, but the other three do not have any spaces. Yet I cannot see them. Ironically, they include one which I named "Clonezilla" especially for the purpose of testing Clonezilla!

I run Windows and Linux on a dual boot system. They run on a 1TB SSD disk. I would like to make disk image backups using Clonezilla. I run Clonezilla iso with Ventoy. Going through the steps to do an image backup when it comes to mounting to /home/partimag I choose an external USB drive (size 4TB) which is formatted as NTFS. I have been using the drive both in Windows and Linux. The problem is that I don't see all the directories on that drive in Clonezilla. I see only three of them and it's not...

Thank you so much for your comprehensive comments! I use Linux almost exclusively nowadays and I keep Windows on my PC as a kind of legacy OS. That's why I was thinking about doing separate backups. Ideally I wanted to save the Linux partition only, but your comment about the EFI system partition convinced me to decide to make a full disk backup. I have enough space on an external USB drive to save all partitions.

Thank you for the information. The exporting finally worked according to your first bullet point.

I'm trying to export my database to Keepass KDB (1.x) format from kdbx4. I'm using Keepass v.2.53.1 and I get an error message "For this operation, the following option must be turned on: 'Remember master password (in encrypted form) of a database while it is open'." I cannot find this option. EDIT: I found the option, but it was turned on. I had to turn it OFF for the exporting to work.
