Hi again Paul. I have tried your suggestion 'Renaming the file that did not work" although I did not understand as all my previous files (updated through time would not open either since the PW had been altered but as explained I did not take notice of half of it through my mistake. So after renaming it did not ask me for the old pw. I wonder if you did understand what I done wrong that resulted on my new pw unable to be recover. The new PW I created was followed by a number of spaces then a few...
This was sent yesterday but via email so did not go anywhere! Thank you Paul. So I don't need to delete the KeepPass.exe file and restart a fresh one. (I thought it would be too easy for someone else to do the same thing and so open any of my data files?) But I can't open any of my data files since I stuffed up the new PW. I normally upload temporary the latest file from my main pc on the cloud then DL them on each device and also update the date in the renaming. Unless there are only a few new entries....
Hello, I just read how to change a pw and did not realise it was so easy BUT when I did it I added some random chrs that I usually do when I store them. The big problem with this I have not idea what they are so can't use my data base anymore! Luckilly I have it on another device and it works with the original pw. Why should I do Delete the one I mucked up and DL a new KeepPass PGR use the pw I want for it? Would this open my last data version saved on that pc or should I copy the other PC's over...
Hello, I'm here because I have the same problem. I have been using Version 2 for quite sometimes without any problem. But today I tryed to update on my 3 other devices from my main pc. And it was not all plain sailing as before. Here are the steps I use. (I'm no savy and am restricted in thech understanding...) 1 I upload my main pc's file in the cloud 2 I rename it to know it's the last updated data 3 I go to my 3 other devices and download that file locally. 4 I (try to) open the file locally....
Hello. I use Google Drive to distribute my PW across 4 devices and one of them is my Samsung phone. So now and then I upload my newly updated file from my primary pc usually and download it to my 3 other devices with an updated name too. the last time I did this I included a "@" in one of the new PW. My two pc as usual got a perfect updated file. But my phone would not include the "@" in it! Only that character would not go across? I repeated the action several times but the result was the same....
When I edit an entry and I forget to close that editing window, Keepas remains active and anyone accessing my pc could see all my pw. If I am not in editing mode then the pgr will close as set to do so after a while. This can easilly happen when needing a pw you'd forgotten and your busy doing something else on your device as keepass window may disapear behind another one.
Hi Dominik, I was wondering why my edit dialog ( I think you call it a sub dialog) does not close when I forget to close it although I had the option to close and save after x amount of time selected. Rather than create a new question I searched and came about this thread. And it seems to pertain to my query. So I opened your link and read through. And I think it answers my query...However I'm still not happy about this situation although it is explained clearly why it was decided to have it so....
Hi there, Got here because I seemed to remember I could sort the column or a column to see the last modified and thought also to remember I could see all the entries regardless of their folder. I may be wrong here, My memory is not as good as my PC's! However I see someone asking why would you need this. I thought it's obvious as if you have several devices and want to share laters entries in those. It's a very valuable tool. I know you could use the cloud then update your devices with the updated...
