Thanks for the explanation. FP23 worked so well, I never even checked the site for a while. When I did, FP25 was already available and FP26 arrived less than 2 weeks later. No reason for the 'create data for channels with the same name'. I can disable it.
I had never used the -j parameter in the past and everything worked well with FP23. I added it to my batch file now so I'll check tomorrow. I also uploaded my ini file.
I have noticed that FP26 seems to have broken many series record within WMC. Many TV series and Sports no longer give me an option to Series Record. I noticed it on Sunday when trying to recreate the Series record for Last Week Tonight. I could record individual episodes but not a series. I included Monday's xmltv and mxf files. Search for Indycar and Last Week. On Indycar, one entry shows up as IsSeries=1 on the other it doesn't. Last Week Tonight exhibits the same. I also tested various other entries...
I imagine some of the new changes weren't compatible with the old config. I was prepared to recreate the series but the WMC database became confused. My previous WMC database was created with FP 20. From a troubleshooting standpoint, you may run into a few more of these in the next week or so.
OK, I wiped my database and went back to square one. WMC now correctly schedules only one instance. Thanks for the help!
Not sure about the MXF. In the xml, 'The Spite Store' is listed 4 times. The 22 (original air date), the 23, the 24 and the 26. If you see the screen cap I included in the first post, WMC had all 4 instances queued up to record. I created this WMC config in January. I will try a fresh database to see if Westworld gets corrected. Curb won't have any new episodes for a while and most non-HBO channels rarely repeat new episodes within the same week.
When I configured Curb Your Enthusiasm to record the series, it scheduled every episode of "The Spite Store" (s10e10). It didn't schedule any old episodes. "The Spite Store" is the only New episode. The same thing happened with Westworld. Something on how New episodes are handled seems off.
I deleted both series and restarted my PC. I rescheduled the series and the same issue appeared. WMC scheduled every airing of the 'new' episode. I did notice something odd. When searching for Curb or Westworld, they had double entries in the WMC database. Perhaps it is due to the changes from the new Fixpack. I'm considering backing up my current config and starting from a clean database.
