    If your *.img file is a hard disk image, reading single files from it requires random seek access to the image (reading file system headers, directory locations, file metadata, file positions, ...)     I have a small feature suggestion: When 7-Zip creates a *.sha256 archive, it stores all paths with forward slashes (path/to/file), but other SHA256 tools on Windows often use backslashes (path\to\file). When 7-Zip reads a *.sha256 file created by some other tool, it replaces \ by _ (path_to_file) and fails opening this non-existing file.
