I've taken a look at the VST3 wrapper plugins but haven't had much luck so far. I'll try the StudioVerse plugin by Waves, though I can't find the VST2 version anywhere.

Where do you find the VST2 version of StudioVerse? I can only find the VST3 version

I just desperately want VST3 support. The only reason I use Equalizer APO is for it's system wide ability to hook into the audio input or output, in my case specifically, applying VST effects to my mic. However, VST2 is absolutely ancient and none of the new VST plugins support it. For now I've been forced to use a virtual audio cable, and route my VST filters through that with VSTHost. The solution works surprisingly well but it's not perfect, would much rather a native VST3 implementation in Equalizer...
