I assumed the cloud server supplied the openbiblio and components and you couldn't change. If you can go back to to working versions that is probably the easiest solution. We haven't updated our school library because the version we use has been working fine and I made some custom changes I would have to redo. I doubt 0.7.3g did anything to the database. How did you end up with 0.7.3g?

I know very little about this. Our school library uses a much older version of openbiblio and I've done little to support it in recent years. I wasn't aware of a version 0.7.3g until I saw your post. I did find it for download here https://www.openbiblio.de/files/openbiblio0.7.3-g.zip so I'm guessing it's a private fork so I'm not sure how much help you will find here. Of course I'm not sure that's the same 0.7.3g version that the cloud server is running. There was someone asking recently about some...

Sorry if this ends up being a double post but for some reason chrome isn't logging me in so my post was anonymous and awaiting moderation. So posting again fron edge. Anyway I also looked at Koha but for reasons I can't remember selected openbiblio. A lot has changed since then so if we were looking again I'm not sure what I would select but we're happy with openbiblio. It looks like openbibio is just behind on some changes to php and mysql. If you want you can try replacing your Error.php with the...

I tried to attach a screenshot to my previous reply but looks like it didn't attach. By changing the mysql_ functions to the mysqli_ counterparts I was able to get it to work. Not sure what other problems there might be. But I was able to install the default database and login with admin/admin. Matt

Are you trying to install 0.7.2? I got the same error "PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Error in /var/www/html/openbiblio/classes/Error.php on line 17" but think I was able to get past it by just renaming the class. I renamed it from Error to ErrorO (for openbiblio), and the two references (extends Error) to it below in the same file. I then got in the apache log PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function mysql_fetch_row() in /var/www/html/openbiblio/install/index.php:22\nStack...

Hi, I've been watching your thread but haven't replied because I don't really have anything to add. We've been using an older version of OpenBiblio in our school libraries for several years and are really happy with it. Usually Fred LaPlante is helpful for solving issues and I figured he would chime in. I am familiar with this kind of frustration but I wouldn't completely give up because in my opinion OpenBiblio is worth the effort. Maybe someone else will chime in but if not I will give the install...

We use the script automysqlbackup. It runs daily via cron. It has a daily/weekly/monthly strategy. We have another application that uses postgres db and I modified the script to backup that too.
