Nodes expanding on their own

I spoke too soon... this is very strange... Pasting is intermittent now! I'll try to figure out if there's anything I'm doing differently on the successful pasting... If I open the app by clicking on 'hidden icons' bottom right of the taskbar the box appears but I can't past from it. The icon also appears on the taskbar when I do this. If I click on that icon the box disappears (but the icon stays in the taskbar). If I click on it again the box reappears and I can paste from it. I don't know what...

I've just tried it again and now it seems to be working... having changed nothing! I'll keep you posted.

I've just downloaded and installed ClipDiary. I haven't tested its full capabilities but it copies and pastes from, for example, Freemind to Word just fine. Maybe I'm missing something as a newbie, but when I download ClipAngel there's no real install (wizard, etc) like there was with ClipDiary. There is just the ClipAngel.exe in the files from the expanded zip file... is that correct?

Thanks for the follow up. It's Windows 11. It worked perfectly fine on Windows 10 (the old PC). It will record whatever I clip but not then paste it. I've tried pasting to Word and to Freemind.
