But there wasn't an installation folder, there was just a keepass setup file in my Downloads folder.
Ok, I found it and put in my .config file and put my database.kdbx file in my My Documents folder. Now when I log into Keepass it is showing all of my sites and passwords. But I add Kee- Password Manager to Firefox and it says "OFF". I can't get it to connect to Keepass. Anybody know why?
I got a new computer, so switch from windows 8 to Windows 10. I was using keepass in Windows 8 with a Firefox plugin. I can't remember the name of the plugin - seems like it was Feefox at one time. But I can't find the plugin now to connect Keefox to Firefox. I did save my database.kdbx file (with all my passwords) and the config file. My computer crashed and now I have another PC with Windows 8.1. But I saved my KeyPass files onto a zip drive before the crash. I have my KeePass.config file and NewDatabase.kdbx file. But I can't figure out how to restore all my passwords to KeePass. I know where the config file went on Windows 7, but the file path looks a little different on Windows 8.1. I have already installed KeePass again, but when I search my computer for where it put the new config file it doesn't find one. Shouldn't it have...
I have to reinstall my OS and I don't want to lose all of the username and passwords I have stored in Keypass. How do I go about not losing anything? I know it saves a file in my My Documents folder called NewDatabase.kdbx. Would I just save that to a flash drive and then copy it back into my My Documents folder after reinstalling my OS? Or is there more to it then that?
