Hello, I'm having the same problem as the OP, but using zfsonlinux + mergerfs and Centos 7. Just single volumes, with a dataset for every data disk. I'm reporting it here since it the problem is exactly the same, and it surprised me when beta11 didn't fix it. Not sure if this problem is expected on zfs, because I don't even see zfs in the faq, only btrfs. So maybe zfs is known to be "broken". I have to say that despite this, it works fine.
