I read that post before. It was helpful, but did not resolve my issue. My device is several years older and only supports Legacy BIOS; not UEFI like most modern PC's.

Hi! I've recently ditched Windows XP in favor of Linux , but have encountered some issues along the way. I've been trying to install PeppermintOS but the Installer keeps failing at the Bootloader section. I've tried everything within my power to make it work; mind you I am a newbie when it comes to Linux; but nothing seems to make it function as intended. So far I've used several install methods (Burned CD, several USB drives with Rufus, Ventoy and Balena Etcher, Manually Partitioning, Auto Install)...
