I've heard good things about keepass but it seems to be a real dog of a program. I once lost my entire list of passwords kept on keepass, I had to start again with every password I have. It's worked ok a few times since then. Now it won't upgrade to version 2.46. In the installer it lists D drive for the installation, I don't have a D drive and the destination drive cannot be chaged in the installation process. I cannot find where to change to destination directory. When I click Install an error...

Hi Paul, "The only issue you are having is with the update on your PC, " Correct I would be happy to overcome this issue. "so you can relax about KeePass working on your phone." I won't be trusting keepass on my phone at all. "Uninstall KeePass - after printing an emergency sheet." I've printed the emergency sheet. Windows won't let me uninstall keepass. Hi, thanks again for your help. I found my Database.kdbx file. I understand that that file is separate to the KeePass installation. I have saved a copy of the .kdbx file. Hi wellread1, Thanks for your prompt reply. My current KeePass version is loaded with lots of passwords. Has noone thought about how to install an update without having to delete all that information and burn many hours doing multiple password resets to repopulate the new version? I cannot install the Keepass 2.45 update, the error message I get is: The drive or UNC share you selected does not exist or is not accessible. Please select another. The install path in the installation dialog box is uneditable, therefore I cannot 'select another'. Can someone help me with this update installation pls?

Hey Paul, Thanks for your reply. You're quite correct, feeling like it's not a very user-friendly program is derived from my lack of understanding and erroneous actions. I read somewhere that KP is very good, light and secure, it just has a bit of an initial steep learning curve if you're not tech savvy. I have already done pretty much what you suggested. There are a few passwords, previousley lost, that I desparately need. From your advice above I found the database file containing all my passwords (the file predates the portable version use). Hey Paul, I really appreciate your reply. KeePass was empty, I say was because I uninstalled it. I”m trying to install the portable version onto a memory stick but it’s not installing. Is it supposed to exist entirely on the memory stick? During the install it wanted to place the files in the program files folder, I changed that to my D drive memory stick.
