I found my fathers account. Everything looks look. Don't forget to read TechnicalDoc.txt, it explains how to install the 3rd party components for Delphi Embercadero. (such as Hunspell, Treeview, pascal scripts) I think the document is key when to compile Subtitle Workshop. Those have to be installed before you compile for the first time. Many thanks for your help. By the way, I think I can publish a new version of subtitle worshop.

Hi, I decided again to only enable the items in field 10 (the list of errors/warnings to be fixed) that are checked in the Errors setup 'Check for'. Hi, Google translate did the translation. When I upload a 4K video, the message "SOME OF THE MOVIE STREAMS COULD NOT BE RENDERED CORRECTLY. PROBABLY THE AUDIO OR VIDEO CODECS ARE MISSING." I click on "Ok" and it runs, but it runs with "locks" and loses synchronization with the audio (the audio runs perfectly). Videos up to 1080p play perfectly. I tried many codecs without success. I also noticed that in Subtitle Edit this doesn't happen. Does this problem have a solution? If so, what would it be?...

Hi, Google translate (and my son) did the translation. Please try to install VLC 32 bit. Change renderer: Movie and then video renderer: choose VLC. Restart subtitle workshop and try again. You could also contribute by checking if the Portugese translation of subtitle workshop is still up to date. Many thanks for considering this.

For example, I have a two-line subtitle, and there is a comma at the end of the first line. 'Fix errors' adds a space to the beginning of the second line, then shows it as an 'Unnecessary spaces' error. And it didn't fix that 'unnecessary space' error, even though it was checked to fix it. I still can not reproduce this error from your first post. Can you check with the above version of SWS with and without OCR error checked? Thanks in advance.

Hi Dellgirl, Another approach would be to make the manual error fixing complety independant of the 'Check for' settings. None of the checkboxes in the area (10) would be disabled then, and all errortypes would be checked against of course. I think the second approach is better. Ok, I will keep that one. Next to using above approach I also made that "Fix errors" only fixes the ones that are visible in the list (No 1 in the figure). This is more logical and inituitive... Attached the version where...

  • Kameleon_ Kameleon_ posted a comment on discussion Bug Reports

Maybe an even bigger problem is that sometimes the fixing produces new errors that were not there before. For example, fixing 'Too long lines' errors often produces new 'Subtitles over two lines' errors. Or, like in my first example, fixing 'Missing spaces after comma' adds space at the beginning of the second line in the two-line subtitle (because the comma is at the end of the first line), and produces an 'Unnecessary spaces' error. Indeed. Still under investigation.

But, there is a way to empty disabled checked boxes. The 'None' button clears them all, and after that, I can check only what I want to be fixed. I can also make the disabled checkboxes to be handled as if they were unchecked. This is for me the simplest solution. In this case the disabled ones stay visible checked, but their correspoding errors are not fixed any longer. Another approach would be to make the manual error fixing complety independant of the 'Check for' settings. None of the checkboxes...

Then, I guess it corrects only the errors shown in the table. Well, in those cases (the disabled lines), those errors will also not be visible in the table... Apparently, this is not true. All errors that are checked (enabled or not) in the error types field are fixed (where possible) irrespective if they are present in the list or not. This is definitly not wanted... I will see how to solve this anomaly.

Under normal conditions, those should be same, but as seen here, it is possible to get into a bizarre state where it isn't. This problem should be solved in this test version. If I see that a subtitle that is being saved that also belongs to a project (that is: the subtilename and the translationname of the last opened project match the current subtitlename and translationname) then also the project data is updated.

Hm. How do you open the movie? By loading a subtitle or by loading a project or with open movie? Could it have something to do with the fact that I have greek windows 10 on my laptop? However all movies I load are in english, so there are no greek characters in their names. I also use the english version of SW. The picture from the weird audio stream name you showed, was that also from an English movie? Thanks in advance for the help you give.

Could you please test the attached version to see if the 'none' problem still exists? Thanks in advance.

I think there's a conflicting setting. Please do provide your SubtitleWorkshop.ini. It is usually located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Subtitle Workshop. Thanks in advance!
