I'm sorry to say that I've no idea what was used to create it. It was taken from Ancient's test files, so probably an Amiga source. There shouldn't be an error in the archive, as the other software unpacks it well. Ancient can unpack it and those made with Linux compress too, and its code is rather easy to compare, so that would be a good starting point?

Compress (new) .Z ("type Z") won't unpack although the format is recognised
