I've had this problem for a long time. I'm using MATE + Openbox, definitely X11.
This is a nuisance that bites me regularly, but I always forget to report it :) Running pwsafe V1.12 on Fedora33 (but the issue has been around for a while). Start pwsafe, open the safe, and view an entry. Now there are two windows open, the main window and the "View Entry" window. There's a red pwsafe icon in the notification area. Wait until pwsafe automatically hides the windows after a couple of mintes. There's now a green pwsafe icon in the notification area. When pwsafe is restored (by clicking...

Great! I must have overlooked this setting (much too obvious ;)).
An obvious reason is that I want to schedule system resources. During the session all resources go to Jamulus. I may even boot up a different system dedicated to Jamulus. Outside session times I want system resources for my other tasks. To be clear, the message "jam session tonight" is intended to be an invitation to join, not a request to stay away :) .

What I want to achieve: A server that registers at the central server announcing a jam session e.g. tonight at 21.00 hours, server open at 20.30. Before that time, and after the session, no connections are possible. I can run a server with a channel count of 1, and connect myself so no other connections are possible. At 20.30, I stop the server and restart with a larger number of channels. But maybe there are better ways to do something like this?
When I connect to a server that has active clients, the volume sliders for these clients initially are at 100%. When there are very loud clients, this comes as an unpleasant experience. Is is possible to instruct my client to preset the sliders to say 50% or 70% when connecting to a new server? It not, would that be a good option to add? -- Johan
AFAICS command line option --clientname sets strClientName, which is local to main(). So it seems unlikely that the config can set this as well.
Ah, I see. I must have overlooked that one... Can I set it from the config file as well?
Hi, I use a Zoom R24 multi-channel recorder as audio interface. On the R24, the first input (capture_1) is connected to the guitar and capture_8 is connected to the (built-in) microphone. I run two Jamulus clients, one for the guitar and one for the microphone. The Jamulus clients have separate config files. Is there a way to designate the names (preferrably from the config file) that the clients use to connect to jack? Now the first client is "Jamulus" and the second becomes "Jamulus-01".
I've seen some messages that indicate that the Jamulus server can produce more detailed logging, i.e. including client names, disconnects, ... Where can I find how to enable this?
Not longer urgent but for the record: Can I build pwsafe w/o yubikey and if so, how?

Short: I cannot run pwsafe anymore on my Fedora 31 system. Versions 1.10, 1.11, custom and prebuild. Pwsafe presents its unlock dialog (but only after a suspicious long time) and then freezes. I have a hardware problem with my system that causes usb to malfunction. This causes applications that use usb to freeze or crash. Now the only reason I can imagine that pwsafe would do something usb related is the yubikey. Is it possible to build pwsafe without yubikey functionality? (Fortunately the CLI still...

In 1.0.9, a Help window is created, but it is of zero size (geometry 0x0+0+0). Maybe 1x1. With some effort it is possible to 'catch' it and resize and then it functions normally. The next time pwsafe is run the window is back to zero size again. The behaviour in 1.0.10 is exactly the same.

Furthermore, for Linux users this means that they must have good memory. ;) In my case PWsafe doesn't even come to the point that the Help window opens. It just becomes unresponsive and needs to be killed.

PWsafe V1.10 on Fedora 31. When I start pwsafe and click on the [Help] button, the program becomes unresponsive. No messages on the console. The same thing happens when I supply the safe code and use Help > Get Help. When unresponsive, the pwsafe window stays the same but according to the window manager it has its title changed to Help and icon to the help icon. I have no clue.

I may be mistaking, but when you export a safe it exports a plain XML file. When you import this XML file, you import it into a new safe. So on the Mac you create a new, empty safe, with a new password, and then import the XML file.

Can you download the file 'as is' to a PC, and then try to open with PasswdSafe?
Just some educated guesses and results from playing around. The first line indicates the fields that are present in all data records. The Group Title and Password fields are mandatory. Everything else can be left out, or empty. So a minimal valid import file is (I've used semicolon as separator): Group/Title;Password Test.Entry;xxxx
You can read PasswordSafe data files on Linux, Windows, Android and more. It is extremely unlikely that the software will fail on all platorms simultaneously. If you're paranoid you could keep an old mobile with (working) PasswordSafe app and a copy of your data somewhere safe. Remember to not update the apps. Having said that... The PasswordSafe program is rather complex due to GUI and file management. It would be nice to have a simple tool just to export the data to some XML format.
The password must be entered every time you open the password safe file. It is associated with the safe file, so a different file will require its own password.
I build RPMs using mockbuild, which is the advised way for Fedora systems. For this, an SRPM is necessary. The latest SRPM (for 1.03BETA) uses "make rpmbuild" but this target broke for 1.06.

Reinstall/reboot doesn't make a difference. I added new ownCloud accounts after reinstall, but PasswdSafe Sync keeps saying there are no ownCloud accounts to use. Note that in Settings > Apps, PasswdSafe Sync has permission set for Contacts, but there is no permission for Accounts?
Got Oreo, retrying. Initially, I got many sync failures "network not connected" although the networking is fine, and ownCloud works okay. But this could be a residue from the pre-Oreo configuration. So I removed the account from PSSync. When trying to use the existing ownCloud account it says there is none (note: there is). When trying to add a new account it says "Add an account in the ownCloud app first". However, this cannot be done since there is an account already. So I added a new account for...

Sorry for the strange title, I couldn't think of a better description. I'm running V1.02 BETA on Fedora 25, but the problem has been there for a long time already. I start pwsafe and all is well. After a short while it minimizes itself and only notification bar icon is visible. I can deiconify it, use it, and so on. After a longer while (sometimes hours, sometimes days) pwsafe stops responding to shortcut keys (like Ctrl-T), and toolbar menus that have shortcut keys (like Copy password to Clipboard)...

Unfortunately this only works partially... The (actual) psafe3 file is not downloaded until you click it from the ownCloud app, which means that in an off-line situation there is no access to the current psafe3 file. Can you be more specfic on the Android 7 bug? It may be a while until we get Oreo (if at all).
