I like DEADJOE files, but only for normal buffers, not for minibuffers containing only filenames and text of incremental searches. Should I reopen this one or file a new issue or is there an existing option to avoid such entries in DEADJOE files?
Opposite problem here: "jmacs" started with multiples files shows just first one in in full window, but I'd like to have the behaviour of "joe" of opening each file in a window. Could not find out how to configure it by comparing jmacsrc and joerc. Any help?

There is -backpath option for backup files and I suggest a similar option for deadjoe files, like DEADJOE.1, DEADJOE.2... Also i think that temporary edit buffers for opening files should not cause DEADJOE files. Only content from main editor windows should be rescued.
As there seems to be no voting here: me too. I'd like to edit wiki markup with beloved joe before pasteing it. Now I have to remove unwanted hard line breaks manually. Annoying. PS: Used to write texts with Wordstar in the early 80ies. "dynamic word wrap" and probably "visible non-printing chars" + floppy disks are missing to get this feeling back again... :)
Perfect, thanks a lot, I didn't know about "brpaste" joe option and switching it...
