if i run the game in direct x 9 or lower it runs in a window but it freezes a couple seconds into launching

hi this is my first using dxwnd and im trying to get it to work with star wars force unleashed sith edition but the problem is it has a launcher and just sends the game into fullscreen whenever i press play is it possible to use dxwnd with this game? thanks
