Thanks. I didn't have the degrees set right after installing the new app version. It now plate solves. The debayer settings are identical on both computers. Since an export to a TIFF produces the same image, I'm not concerned about what it looks like in ASTAP. But it would be really nice if the FITS headers had the same information on both computers.

When I export the image from both Win 11 and the Mac as a TIFF, the images appear to be identical. So the only issue with the Mac side is that the image looks greener in ASTAP - even with all settings in ASTAP on both computers exactly the same. That's really not a problem for me. What is a problem for me is that what is shown in the FITS header is quite different between the two apps.

I just installed the latest release of ASTAP for both my M1 Mac and Win 11 (ARM 64). My camera is a Canon EOS 6D modified/cooled. I love the really fast time to complete a plate solve, but no matter what image I work with, none of them will plate solve. Here are links to two different CR2 images that I'm having a problem with. https://ufile.io/h3yauvh5 NGC1499 https://ufile.io/bc8cribh M86 BTW: The LibRaw conversion shows this for the debayer pattern: FILT-PAT= 'RGGBRGGBRGGBRGGB' / Filter pattern...

I am having no problem debayering my Canon EOS 6D images. But NONE of them will plate solve. I just downloaded the latest ASTAP for my M1 Mac and for my Win 11 (ARM 64). The debayered image in Win 11 looks so much better than the same image debayered on the Mac. And the Solve time, even though it finds nothing, is so much faster now with the latest version of ASTAP - THANKS! But, can you help me figure out why my images won't plate solve?

I’m going to try N.I.N.A. Others with a Losmandy mount and Gemini II say it works better than anything else they have tried. Part of my problems now is that Windows crashes frequently. Really wish everyone would start converting Windows apps to a Mac. It’s not that hard with today’s cross platform tools. So very thankful you did. And for Linux, too, which I also use occasionally. The pop-up notifier is showing a 180º search and starting at 0, 0, not the current position. When it gets to arond 60º, that's when it solves. So why isn't it behaving as advertised?

Running ASTAP standalone on a 30s image with Capella centered takes less than 5s to solve. It takes 7 minutes to solve the same image in SharpCap. Using Astrotortilla takes 1:20 minutes. ASTAP apears to be searcing a 180º FOV and solving at . How do I turn that down to 1º? What settings are there in SharpCap to make it solve faster? FOV is 0.51º. Using G18.
