Hi it's an MBR and they have a rescue CD still believe its running after near a week now. The initial decryption was going ok then it hit some bad sectors for which I said to choose skip and then it just slowed to a crawl. The lady needs the data as it's part of her private business, hoping that it will complete the decryption so I can read the disk and recover her data.

Encrypted system drive not booting into windows so ran the rescue disk and started permanent decryption but it has so far taken 4 days and looks like according to calculations could take a month is this normal? Surely not. Could I stop the permanent decryption and just attempt a repair of windows using a new boot disk?
