I downloaded VeraCrypt portable and the legacy install files for XP & 7. I'm using Win XP with SP3 I created a minimal size 5 Mb volume on one of my external hard drives. It did it okay, but when I tried to reopen the volume it froze up my comp and I had to push the on/off switch to get the machine to boot. Even Task Manager couldn't stop the lockup. I uninstalled and did a fresh install of VeraCrypt. This time it locked up my computer when I tried creating a volume on my external hard drive. I tried...
