    And as I told - again- and as the photo shows, the image is from a larger disk of which only 453 GB was allocated. You claim that the unallocated space would not be saved to the image. Yet the unallocated space was included in the image. FACT. As I told you I was able to restore to a smaller disk using the procedure you linked. I should not have to use that procedure if the unallocated space was not saved in the image. It is really that simple. And yet you fail to comprehend. Honestly this is ridiculous....

    My photo above showing the error message by Clonezilla says it all. The image created by Clonezilla is 1,953,525,168 sectors from a 1 TB hard drive of which 547 GB was unallocated space. The image is destined for 976,773,168 sectors (500.1 GB) SSD. Clonezilla terminated. Photo does not lie. I don't want the unallocated space, but Clonezilla includes it ! I don't understand what is so hard to understand, but I am guessing English is not your first language.
