It appears that temporary files are only created for the first and last volumes. Therefore, the working directory would only need to temporarily store twice the size of an individual volume, rather than the combined size of all volumes. In the attached picture, only 8 GB of temporary files are used while the total volume size is 100 GB.
I’m not seeing much compression with this data, and I’ve already split it as much as possible using batch files. It looks like it might be a good opportunity to upgrade my system. Thank you for your quick responses and for providing such a great program!
Unfortunately, I'm compressing a large amount of data that exceeds the capacity of the working directory on my M.2 drive, so I can't store all the volumes at once.
