I wish I could attach the actual files and show you that Nanonis file is flipped when loaded. But I'm sorry that the security restrictions at my work does not allow me to attach a file here. It's very good that the actual coordinates of the Nanonis sxm files are preserved in Gwyddion. The point is that whenever I open a Nanonis image, the image is shown vertically flipped. It would be nice if the Y values are inverted (Y --> -Y) upon loading or there is a way to designate whether +y point up or down...
Let's say I have two 100 x 100 nm^2 images, each centered at (-342, 344) nm and (-250, 348) nm, respectively. And let's call the former image 1 and latter image 2. Then in the nanonis coordinates where +y points up and +x points to the right, image 1 is to the left and down from image 2. Stitching gives me a fine result if I stitch first and flip vertically. But if I start from flipped images and stitch them, in the stitched image, image 1 goest to the left and UP from image 2, giving me a wrong...
Hi, I've been using gwyddion for SPM data analysis for a while and I'm so thankful to the developers and other contributors for the wonderful software. Recently, I upgraded my gwyddion to the most recent version of 2.51. And to my surprise, SPM images began to be displayed upside down. The problem is that in Nanonis, y value increases as it goes up, but Gwyddion is set such that y value increases as it goes down. I guess there must be an easy way to flip the vertical orientation. In its current settings,...
