Usage of QR for covid related signs is very common in Europe. Many restaurants here in NL also just have a QR code on the table for a menu, so since switching to Android I've just had to order off my partner's iPhone. QR support is the missing feature. zxing seems to be in maintenance mode, but apparently works in continues to get contributions. If bloat/slowness is a concern, it's likely possible to only parse 1 or 2 frames per second (rather than the whole stream). This would reduce the work being...
