    @enigma2illusion Just to be sure. Is it correct to assume that on Linux, a) the TRIM vulnerability can be mitigated by using --mount-options=nokernelcryptoand b) using an SD card or USB memory stick should be safe as fas ar wear leveling when the whole device (as in /dev/sda without partitioning) is encrypted when factory fresh and before any data is copied to it, also when plausible deniability is required? And if the latter is not the case, I still don't understand why this would not be so. Thank...

    The VC User Manual is very vocal about NOT using the Quick option when creating hidden volumes: "Important: When encrypting a partition/device within which you intend to create a hidden volume afterwards, leave this option unchecked." I read this as MUST NOT. I just created an outer and an inner volume on a test device using ext2 without Quick with no problems.
