    Hi Davis. Thanks for your response, but frankly I find it completely facile and unhelpful. I'm prepared to bet that if I submitted a Manual update stating that switching is completely bug-ridden and unreliable, it would not be accepted. That you can respond with "fix it yourself" to a query in the "beginners" forum about bugs that have been known about for a decade indicates a complete lack of ownership or responsibility for a product about which you and very few others have detailed knowledge.     I can't complain about a free product, especially one with as many good features as OpenDSS. I'm grateful to have access to it; also for the help that you have always provided promptly through the forums. However your responses indicate no change to the status quo. At the very least, I think the Manual should be upgraded to provide an accurately reflective list of dos and don'ts around this topic. I wasted a significant amount of time exercising OpenDSS in ways which seemed perfectly reasonable given...

    With the greatest respect: Switching seems to be really broken, and Winding quantities seem to be broken if used in conjunction with switching If it's going to be this bad, the Manual should contain warnings. Otherwise it should be fixed. I got around this by putting a dummy line segment where a LV CB would be, than using "Enable" and "Disable" on that (switching still would not work). NH
