Still had to build and install ADMS as commented in https://stackoverflow.com/questions/36102809/qucs-core-configure-error-needs-admsxml (not mentioned in the readme, but it runs. In my opinion it would be worth the effort to get into the ubuntu 17.10 package list. Unfortunately I am not the guy to help here as the LINUX build environments are not my expertise and I do not have the time to get into it.
