Hi guys, I am working on a project for simulating embedded system components in ngspice. In that direction I have built a motor model in Xspice. I have written the details of it here in this link : https://siprot-ngspice.blogspot.com/2021/05/simulating-motor-in-ngspice.html I have modeled external torque applied to the motor as an input voltage and the speed as an output voltage (I am working on creating a better external interface that be used for instead). I hope this can be useful for someone...

Hi, Giles Sorry for such a late reply , I was caught up in something else. I'm not trying to simulate a mcu but something close. I'm trying to include a spi debugger kind of thing in my project (where MOSI and MISO can be inputs as well as outputs) . will give the 'g' method a try, thanks.

Thanks for the feedback Marcel. I wasn't actually aware of the LTspice models, will definitely try that (I found this link : https://www.edn.com/use-ltspice-to-simulate-mixed-continuous-and-sampled-systems/). the xspice models currently (atleast those in the ngspice repo) don't provide effect of thing like sampling frequency ADC resolution etc. I needed them for a project so decided to build this. (The LTspice libraries seem to provide these too.) regarding your second point (z transforms and interface...

Hi Uros Just had a glance at your project. It is indeed very similar to what I am trying to build. Thanks for pointing me to this.

Hi all, Inspired partly by curiosity to learn about signal processing and controls and partly by Matlab simulink, which can simulate circuits as well. (https://in.mathworks.com/help/physmod/sps/powersys/ug/building-and-simulating-a-simple-circuit.html) (where we can directly include components like lpf and integrators as blocks). I thought it would be nice have such blocks in open source for ngspice. Installation this tool box is built as a ngspice code model and can be compiled along with ngspice...
