update: i just grabbed the amd64 binary deb file, did dpkg -i --force-all and now i've got qucsator running in my Jupyterhub containers pragmatic solution :)

Are there apt-source soruces anywhere? I could also consider building the package myself, the server I am running my JH on is also running 18.04

Is there a solution to this? I'm trying to install QUCS inside a docker container on a jupyterhub to be able to use the command line simulator. My contain is runing 18.04 (bionic), but it seems the PPA does not have any packages for bionic? http://ppa.launchpad.net/qucs/qucs/ubuntu/dists/ I just created an account on "ubuntu one" and am contacting Frans Schreuder who is listed as the maintianer. Is this the correct path, or is there someone else I can contact? Thanks, Gary

Hi all, I am interested in simulating a parametric amplifier in QUCS: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parametric_oscillator Specifically, I would like to build models for Jospheson parametric amplifiers: https://arxiv.org/abs/1605.00539 The JPA is basically a variant of the variable capacitance amplifier, described well in this 1959 paper "The variable-capacitance parametric amplifier" by Reed: https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/1472516/ In the JPA, one modulates instead an inductor made from a Josephson...
