I just retraced all my steps, but this time with Malwarebytes installed and Windows Defender turned off. Going to check back after 24 hours to make sure I can still adjust filters, but for now it looks like it is going to fix the issue. Thinking about it on my other computer I already had Malwarebytes installed so I guess that must have been the difference. I briefly managed to get it to work. What I found out was that after a period of time Windows defender is re enabling itself. For some reason even with the exe files added to exceptions the Equalizer APO doesn't work unless you disable Windows defender before doing a clean install. After the reboot it will work for a while, but then stop working again, presumably when Defender turns itself back on. Just to make sure what all do I need to have added to exceptions? And is there a way to turn Windows...
