I justed wanted to give GCic a try with the 3.0 RC compiler. However, I get strange messages after running ./GCic FIZZBUZZ.cbl: rm: cannot remove 'FIZZBUZZ.c': No such file or directory rm: cannot remove 'FIZZBUZZ.c.h': No such file or directory rm: cannot remove 'FIZZBUZZ.c.l.h': No such file or directory rm: cannot remove 'FIZZBUZZ.i': No such file or directory rm: cannot remove 'FIZZBUZZ.o': No such file or directory The file FIZZBUZZ.gclst contains this information: *command line: cobc -v -std=default...
I have a file that was transfered from our Mainframe to my laptop and I want to read this file with GnuCOBOL. This works fine for all fields in the file, except for the COMP-3 fields. I just use the copybook from the Mainframe where these fields have the COMP-3 definition. Any ideas how I can work with the packed-decimal fields? Thanks!
Ah thank you! Both for your answer and your PR! :-)

I am interacting with a GnuCOBOL command-line tool via SSH. Is there a way to clear the terminal screen? Something more serious than PERFORM 100 TIMES DISPLAY "" END-PERFORM
"apt-get install gnucobol" worked on my machine. :-)
