So it's only the first one that is locked?

I'm trying to backup a big file (80GB) into a 7z archive splitted in 4GB files, with 7-Zip GUI for Windows. The destination folder is my OneDrive folder, where every new file created is synced to the cloud storage. But OneDrive doesn't start uploading the files .001, .002, and so on, until the whole archiving has finished, it says that they are in use. Is it really needed to have those partial files locked until the whole process has finished?

Tried with same results in: Win7 (with Symantec AV) with jre1.8.0_181-32bit Win10 (with Symantec AV) with jre1.8.0_231-64bit Win10 (with Symantec AV) with jre13.0.1-64bit Fortunately the original where I did the backup system is still available. On that system it recovers the file correctly, with: Win7 (with no AV software) with jre1.8.0_211-b12-64bit The set of backup files that I tried to read is the same for all cases (it's a shared folder)

Some side questions: - are the com.myJava.file.archive.zip64.* classes from Areca or can they be downloaded separately? I was thinking of replacing the ones bundled with Areca with a newer version or something like that - I see that I can use the dezip and decrypt tools to do it manually but my archive is split in 10MB files, do these tools support that?
