The new wrapping is handling classes that have different implementations depending on the cases. This doesn't happen with classes belonging to DirectX or DirectSound, where the implementation can change on different machines, but whenever you let's say create a DirectDraw surface, it's always the same piece of software that is involved. On DirectShow the situation is quite different: you can build a graph with filters, but a video filter has nothing to share with an audio filter except the same interface....

Clever. I never remap the C: drive into a C: folder because I fear troubles, but maybe it works for you because you don't have the game files on C: ... may I see your .dxw exported profile? I doubt it could work for my C:\Games folders, but I would try. P.s. Since Extreme Watersports has no Win32 game executables, I will rename the thread title, after all we keep talking about Extreme Wintersports and nothing else, isn't it?

Thank you very much for your report, this will contribute to keep improving the project. The problem is easily replicated here and it seems related to the recent addition of a brand-new DirectShow wrapping that, evidently, has some flaw. Luckily, there is an easy fix for the problem in this specific situation, that is to uncheck the Hook DirectShow flags so recovering the behavior of the previous release, but of course I'll try to understand why this happens and fix the problem as soon as possib...

the game says "file not found" when starting the race I'm not sure about that (because it's incredibly difficult to debug this junk of 5 executable files running together) but I believe that the missing file is the one that should hold the race results and this happens whenever the game crashes suddenly but the father believe that the race was finished. In my tests, the missing file message never happens when the race is terminated or aborted by user's command and is always there whenever There is...

For sure the hunt is not over. In addition, I tried the settings that are working on ExtremeWinter to ExtremeWater and ... the game doesn't work. update: oops! It can't wok in any case: all three executable files for the games are Win16 DOS games. Too bad, but I'm sure there's some much better game on the scene! p.s. the updated dll that I posted here a few posts ago is able to handle the space in the program path, so there is no need to rename the folders.

Finally I resolved another mystery, the reason why the Shop.exe was unable to run any of the three game executable files. The game install folder must hold no spaces. I installed the game in "D:\Games\Extreme Wintersports" and there it didn't work, now just stripping one blank and moving it to "D:\Games\ExtremeWintersports" it works much better. About the "Suppress Zbuffer attach" flag, here it made the game playable but the effect is not at all accurate, looking carefully one can see the Z order...
