Thanks for the reply. I ran "git submodule update --init --recursive" after cleaning out everything but the source code in the .git director. Unfortunately, when I went to ".git/netgen-master/external_dependencies/pybind11" the directory was blank. I tried to run cmake anyway but ended up with the following make error: "/usr/local/share/netgen/.git/netgen-master/libsrc/meshing/../general/ngpython.hpp:3:31: fatal error: pybind11/pybind11.h: No such file or directory" There is no /general/ subdirectory....

Kubuntu 17.04 OS Up untill Debian included netgen5.?? in Debian unstable, there was no working copy in the Debian releases. Ubuntu - which I am presently using - has not picked up on this as yet. So I am stuck with installing from source code. I downloade the source code from github and ran the files through the GUI version of cmake. After the usual fight with missing dependancies I got cmake to configure and generate the make files. I ran make with no trouble. But when I ran "make install" I got...
