peate9 - SUCCESS! Finally got relacement DVDs. Followed your steps. I did use a dual layer, the Verbatim DVD+R DL AZO style. One or two minor issues - I set ImgBurn to "Verify" but it didn't like that. The tray cycles open before the verify, but I have a laptop. Even though I closed the tray by hand and hit OK, ImgBurn didn't want to verify. I need to figure out how to manually set a layer break. Looks like ImgBurn sets the layer break at a chapter break. I may have to set a chapter manually in DVDStyler...

peate - I did follow your steps for prepping the files and then played them. Everything went fine, apart from the blank DVD fiasco. When I can get some "clean" discs, I'll try burning them and report results.
Well, I'll be damned. The discs are all full of fracking porn. That's the reason they won't burn. One started playing and showed porn. I started pulling dicsc at random from the 30 DVD spindle. All of them have porn content. I purchased this at Microcenter this afternoon. It was a sealed spindle, not an open return. Apparently, they came from the manufacturer or distributor that way.

Well, here's the newest. I ran up to Microcenter to pick up Verbatim DVD+R DL AZO discs. These discs appear to be RW, at least that's how they are labeled. I didn't know they made DL RW discs. Anyway, IMGBurn won't read them: "Device Not Ready (Incompatible Medium Installed)" I get that on both the internal and an external drive.
Yep, the offending DL's are "Life Series." I'll check out the AZO's. Thanks!
I'm thinking the same as what you're saying on all counts. I've been using Verbatim, which I thought was one of the best. The single layer's seem to be working, but the batch of DL's have nearly all been coasters. I sent an message to Support on the Verbatim site and will see how they respond. Also okay, you play the DVD files (Audio and Video TS) through a software player. If it plays okay without any fault, you assume that it should then burn okay?
