Makes sense. I see now that my requirement is subtly different - that is to control a switch to catch the RF at its ANT_CURR - I just need to define that, per radio, in my definitions. I'll code accordingly. Thanks again, Mike. John G0GCD On 10 September 2024 15:34:51 BST, Michael Black mdblack98@users.sourceforge.net wrote: The antenna is supposed to show selectable antennas. Since the antenna is "fixed" it should really say ANT_CURR meaning nothing to do as the current antenna is always used. I...
Hi, I think that I've found an error in the capability list for the Yaesu FT100. If I'm reading the capability dump correctly, then : 144000000 Hz - 148000000 Hz VFO list: VFOA VFOB Mode list: CW USB LSB FM CWR PKTUSB Antenna list: ANT1 should be ANT2 Low power: 0.5 W, High power: 50 W 144000000 Hz - 148000000 Hz VFO list: VFOA VFOB Mode list: AM Antenna list: ANT1 should be ANT2 Low power: 0.5 W, High power: 12.5 W 430000000 Hz - 450000000 Hz VFO list: VFOA VFOB Mode list: CW USB LSB FM CWR PKTUSB...
Mike, To validate the install, I'll fire it up and see if it returns a version or an error. I should be ok now.. I think that integration of HamLib is cracked now. I have to say, the support that you've given me is superlative. I've had several problems at 'the other end' and I've not had any feedback about the difficulty that I've had talking to the Anritsu MT8801C analyser. Once again, thank you. John G0GCD
Hi, Another newbie question, if I may. As part of my Automated Test Equipment Controller program, I programmatically seek the latest version of rigctld.exe on my windows system, prior to trying to use it. I search for a folder "hamlib-w32-" and in this way, I can be version independent and sort for the latest HamLib version on my machine (if there happens to be multiple copies). Having found a candidate 'home' folder, is there a simple way to validate that it contains a valid install and is not just...
Hmm, RigCtlD.exe definitely a better solution. Thank you! John G0GCD
Thanks for the quick response, Mike. Currently RigCtl.exe with a form of pipe - AutoIT actually manipulates an open window, even if that's hidden from the user. I open a window and 'execute' RigCtl.exe in interactive mode, reading the screen text for its responses. However, with typical G0GCD skill, the moment I posted the question, I found this tidbit: *Entering interactive mode allows successive commands to be entered without exiting rigctl. Recent additions to rigctl allow command editing and...
Hi, I'm looking to use Hamlib as part of an Automated Test Equipment controller program, written in AutoIT, running on Windows 10/11. I'm planning to control the radio under test, setting frequencies and modes, using a Command window running RigCtl.exe, interrogated by my program. I can manually operate the radio using RigCtl.exe in such a window. My program can 'type' the required commands to RigCtl.exe. When querying the radio, however, AutoIT has no definitive detection of when RigCtl.exe has...
