As you can tell by the topic title my question regards file system journaling which has been been discussed in the "Security Requirements and Precautions/Journaling File Systems" veracrypt documentation. In my case I run veracrypt in a ubuntu host using ext4. The veracrypt container is in an external hard drive and is using the ext2. From what I understand from the documentation this is a big no as the file system might record files. However on the last section it mentions that "Store the container...
