    Okay, no need for a harsh tone. Thanks for pointing me to the hidden options. One more thing, given that this is not going to happen: isn't changing PDF modification time when the extended attributes were not saved a bug? For anybody reading this, the relevant options are SKReadMissingNotesFromSkimFileOption and SKReadNonMissingNotesFromSkimFileOption documented here.
